We want to help her our community so we’ve reached out to Operation Turkey ,who’s goal is to Bring communities together across the nation to feed and clothe the homeless and less fortunate on Thanksgiving.
We’re asking that each person 16 years and older register individually as a volunteer with Operation Turkey. We cannot guarantee that you will all be able to work on a specific desired task, however, your group will certainly have the opportunity to work together as a team.

Operation Turkey volunteers work throughout the year to ensure everything is in place to prepare, package and deliver warm meals, care packages, and clothing donations to those in need from 8am – 12pm Thanksgiving Day.

Here are some tips for Thanksgiving Day:

Please plan to show up between 8:15 and 8:30 am wearing TEXAS POWER ATHLETICS Team Shirt and comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes for walking safety. You are always able to select what you would like to do. Cooking, cleaning, delivering, packaging or plating; there is always a job to be done. Anytime and help you can offer Operation Turkey is greatly appreciated. Kids are welcome and encouraged to come out with parents or guardians. They also have special programs that enlist the help of the younger members of your family. They will get to share the great Operation Turkey experience with you, and it will help open their young eyes to the importance of giving back to their communities.

Good Afternoon Operation Turkey Austin,

We are 10 days away from Operation Turkey providing 40,000 meals to the homeless and less fortunate nationwide. To help achieve this goal, we are preparing 8,000 meals for delivery in our community.

As you review the list of items needed and the details of Eventbrite registration, remember Operation Turkey is a 100% volunteer organization with no paid employees. We are only successful based on the actions of each volunteer.
